I am new to this forum, but I also see it's not particularly well attended, nor does it appear to actually get responses from the city officials.  In the latest newsletter we recelved by mail, our city wants our feedback!  I did not see where anything was new where we could leave comments via lebcity.com though the newsletter said "early 2009".

This first topic I wanted to post is in regard to suddenly receiving e-mails from various people regarding the school situation and voting on march 10.  I really resent being on anyone's e-mail list unsolicted.  I am trying to determine where such people would even get my e-mail address.  It's a passionate issue, I understand, but I can get the info I need via the newpaper or speaking to community members more directly involved.  I would like to hear how others may feel about this.
Thanks,
Vanessa Brown

Just by logging into this site your name floating in cyber space...just about anyone can get it.
Example...someone sends you Pvt. Pm on this site now they have your email address and could forward emaill address to others.

No I don't care for unsolicited e-mails,but sometimes you have to give to gain...plus we are guess here,so there tools there rules.

Dear Vanessa, In a public forum it is usually best to use an e-mail account that is not your personal one. Hotmail, Yahoo, G-mail, etc all offer free accounts. Those you only check when you want to and then you are not spammed daily on your "real" account.  Smile

Hello, Vanessa.

I just wanted to let you know that you are welcome to use my direct e-mail to privately communicate any questions or concerns you may have about the City: nscormen@gmail.com

I do keep a list of residents who have expressed interest in City affairs. I periodically blind-copy that list with the recipient list suppressed so no one can see anyone's e-mail address except mine as the sender.

You are not on my list and I respect your privacy.

Nicole
